Project - Replacement Web server Farm

I had became aware that the company was re-developing its customer facing websites using a new technology, and that the developer and integration partner (website to ERP) had specific requirements for the staging and release websites. After suffering a DDoS attack on a website during our busy season and a security breach, I decided to consolidate the websites into a more suitable and capable provider.

Goals:

Working with the IT Team, we sourced a newer high-end provider and was able to negotiate a great price, considering that they offered; NOC center, DDoS attack assistance, managed services, backups, 24x7x365 support, 100% up-time, and were already optimized for the technology that was to be used by the new website.

We ensured that the newly developed websites could be easily deployed to the new hosting company by:
I created a Business Case, outlining the benefits of the plan and secured approvals to proceed.  As of my time of leave, one of the websites was moved to the new provider with plans to move the remaining during a four month time window, and all new development was occurring on the new server.  This consolidation would reduce costs and increase their up-time, reliability, and security.
